You would think I'd be in a scarf, jeans and some uggs since it is the middle of November but instead I'm rocking a floral print dress with sandals. I don't know what's going on with our weather but i'll take the sun any day although at times I would like to see a some rain drops. Anyway, I had a few meetings in Los Angeles and I wanted to be comfy and cute so this is what I came up with hope you enjoy it!

Blue Mermaid Smokey Tutorial
I woke up this morning to the beautiful sun shinning in through my window and whenever that happens I know it's going to be a good day because I love warm weather. I wasn't sure what I wanted to wear but I knew I wanted a smokey eye for makeup, but not a typical black smokey eye I was in search of something different. I looked through my makeup palettes and decided on a blue smokey eye I like to call it "Blue Mermaid" the metallic of the silver and the pop of blue somehow reminded me of a mermaid.
Products used:
Eyeshadow- NYX The Caribbean Collection in ESP5C04 "I dream of antigua"
Base- NYX jumbo pencil in #614 Lavender
I hope you enjoy it!

Who is Alex Rodriguez?
Hello my name is Alex Rodriguez and I will be the author to this blog. I decided to start this blog after falling in love with NYX products. My relationship with makeup began about 2 years ago when I found myself addicted to youtube videos watching hours and hours of fashion and makeup videos by various gurus. I mean don't get me wrong I wasn't clueless prior but I wasn't as educated as I am now (LOL). I first heard about NYX when I watched video after video of gurus raving about NYX jumbo pencils I heard so much about them I had to go out and get some myself. I still remember my first few colors, cottage cheese, black bean and hot pink. I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the hot pink one but I had to have it simply because it was pink (hint, I'm a pink kinda girl). I remember coming home and being super excited to try them, and so I did. My first look was a smokey eye and I used black bean as a base and I fell in LOVE. I couldn't get over how smooth it applied and how well it worked as I base. Needless to say I now have all 28 colors :). As I watched and watched videos, a lot of gurus used MAC for their tutorials and I mean MAC is great except a bit expensive for my pocket and I also noticed a lot of comments of subscribers asking them (gurus) to make tutorials using less expensive products. It was then that I decided to create this blog dedicated to all the NYX lovers just like me. I hope you enjoy all my future postings.
XOXO,
Alex Rodriguez
